Searching for Beautiful - Jennifer Probst

So, Searching For Beautiful is a romance about a runaway bride who takes off with her best friend minutes before the wedding. They hide out at a cottage. He's got tattoos. She's a brilliant surgeon. It has a very pretty cover. I was totally down for this. Alas, the book did nothing for me. There was a lot of telling vs showing, the writing, while competent, relied a lot on cliches...you know the kind I mean, the sparkling, and gleaming and deliciously messy hair variety. Which, I mean, it's not horrible but it's also not really something I want to devote much time to. And the sex was kind of sub par. *sighs* I guess my search for romance continues.
