Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn mini review

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn

The book is well written and works fairly well as a modern noire, although I think it goes too far in certain instances...the "plot twist" around pg 450 is awfully convenient. There wasn't really anything all that original about it, it's fairly standard fare as far as mysteries go. Unfortunately, for me, the main characters are thoroughly unlikeable, right from the start, and I have a very difficult time connecting to characters I don't like. Thank goodness for Go and Boney. While this wasn't my favourite, I would definitely give the author another try.
